Privacy notice
Mehut Study Programs is run by the Mehut team for participants in our study programs and study groups. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted form), and optionally phone number, city and country.
- Study details: the group you belong to or lead, the study program, and, for rabbis, the class dates and attendance (present/absent) they record.
- Basic technical data needed to keep the site secure (for example, failed sign-in attempts).
Why we use it
To run the study groups: create and manage accounts, place students in groups, let rabbis keep attendance, contact participants about their program, and provide support. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who can see it
The Mehut team can see account, group and attendance information. A rabbi can see the students in their own groups and the attendance they recorded. Students cannot see other students. We do not share your data with third parties, except service providers needed to run the site (hosting and email delivery) who process it on our behalf.
Cookies
We use only an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep data for the duration of the study program and for a reasonable period afterwards for administration, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, at any time: infomehut@gmail.com.
Standard wording for study programs; please have it reviewed if you are subject to specific local requirements.
