Mehut Study Programs

Questions & answers for rabbis

How do I get started?
  1. Sign up as a rabbi and confirm your email (we send you a link).
  2. Sign in and click Open a new group.
  3. Enter the city and choose your study program, or choose Custom and write your own.
  4. Your group is active right away. Students can now find it in their list.

Classes are delivered by your local Chabad center, by the Rabbi or Rebbetzin.

What do “English” and “Hebrew” mean in the program list?

Each program appears twice. The language is the language of the teacher’s manual you will receive. Next to it you can see the languages in which the students’ book is available on Amazon.

Do I need to approve students?

No. Students choose your group from a list and join it. There is no accept or reject step.

How do I record attendance?

Open your group and add a class (date and an optional topic). You will see your students, everyone starting as present. Switch anyone who was absent and save. You can come back to change it later. Attendance is kept on your side and is also visible to the Mehut team. Students do not see it.

How many classes are there, and how do the levels work?

A yearly program usually has 18 classes, so that everyone can reach all the levels: Base (classes 1–4), Silver (5–9), Gold (10–14) and Platinum (15–18), according to the number of classes attended.

What do my students earn?

At the end of the year, each student receives one money reward according to the level reached: €100 for Silver, €150 for Gold, or €200 for Platinum (rewards do not add up). A reward can be paid to the student’s personal account, donated to Mehut, or donated to their local Chabad. Rewards are handled by the Mehut team.

Study credits can be redeemed for a discount on the Mehut trip to the CYP international event in New York, and also for the yearly grand event, the Mehutton. The details will be on a dedicated website, coming soon.

What do I pay, and how?

You pay once: the Mehut yearly fee (€159, once per rabbi) and your course manual (€129, one manual per rabbi). You can pay online through the secure Stripe links in the Payments box on your home page, either everything in one go or each item separately. The payment itself happens on Stripe’s page, not on this website. If you have already paid, there is no need to pay again. If you prefer another way, or have a question, the coordinator team will help you.

Who takes care of the books and materials?

The Mehut team manages, by hand, the Amazon links, the multimedia materials and the shipping of the manuals (JLI). Students pay nothing: their book is bought online on Amazon, either by the student or by you.
